THERE ARE so many running opportunites around that it can become quite expensive.  You have to decide which are the important ones for you and work on those.   If you want to bring the costs down look for local events that help to raise money for local charities.   They still charge but are a lot cheaper and just as much fun as you get into the spirit of the running community.

Sussex Cross Country Championships

Run by Sussex Athletics this is the Sussex Masters Cross Country Championships being held at Coombe Farm, Lancing.

Run Reigate trails - Completed
19th February 2023
This is the inaugral attempt to arrange a 10km trail run in Redhill.   With a route that takes in Gatton Point, situated between at the Northern end of Redhill just before Merstham.   Click here for website.

West Sussex Fun Run League
Various dates
The league is made up of 17 athletics clubs who all host one run per year.   That's 12 months, 17 races with 85 miles of running in total.

Parkrun
Like a lot of regular events I have difficulty with regular attendance due to shift working.   If I am free then I will turn up at a parkrun.   Grass roots running at it's finest.

1st January - Reigate Parkrun.   4th in age group.
4th February - Clair Parkrun.   7th in age group.
11th February - Clair Parkrun.   5th in age group.
18th February - Clair Parkrun.   4th in age group.
