THERE ARE so many running opportunities around that it can become quite expensive. You have to decide which are the important ones for you and work on those. If you want to bring the costs down parkrun is free and open to everybody, look for local events that help to raise money for local charities, you get to run a great event and give money to worthy causes. They still charge but are a lot cheaper and just as much fun as you get into the spirit of the running community. Good luck!
