West Sussex Fun Run League

FOR THE FIRST time in the West Sussex Fun Run League history Haywards Heath won the event.   This was followed in 2025 with another consecutive win, giving them the double.   This year Harriers are looking to win it again for the third year in a row and going for the triple.

With the first run of the season completed with the Hangover 5 in Worthing on the 1st January Harriers were joint second place with Worthing Harriers, both four points behind the leaders Horsham Joggers.

On the 15th February the second race took place, Run Your Heart Out at Tilgate.   Haywards Heath Harriers solidified their position in second place and Worthing Harriers dropping to 6th place.

Run three with the top five clubs in a good position was The Thakeham 5 miles hosted by Fittleworth Flyers, they promised a trails run and didn't fail to deliver.   Haywards Heath Harriers were out in force for this to try and secure the top position.

Run four coming in fast after Thakeham was the Bank Holiday Monday 10km at Lewes hosted by Lewes AC.   A great trails run around the back of Lewes taking in the Iford Estate and Village.   Harriers at Joint second place with Horsham Joggers hanging onto the top spot.

Run five was a new route from the hosts Burgess Hill Runners at Macs Farm Organic Chicken Farm.   Haywards Heath Harriers were joint first with Horsham Joggers.   There are some issues with this run as it's new and some athletes were sent the wrong way on the course.

AT THIS STAGE HAYWARDS HEATH HARRIERS APPEAR TO BE TOP OF THE LEAGUE.   JUST ONE POINT AHEAD OF HORSHAM JOGGERS.
